Caitlyn Mitros, M.S., LAPC
Child, Teen, and Young Adult Holistic Therapist
Caitlyn is a master’s level clinician who is currently working to pursue licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. Her perspective on counseling involves an open and collaborative dynamic in order to provide an empathetic and inviting space for clients to feel welcome on all levels. Through a compassionate and gentle approach, she stresses the importance of being culturally humble and providing inclusive and affirmative care for clients.
Caitlyn utilizes a client-centered approach with interventions drawn from strengths-based modalities, positive psychology, ACT, mindfulness, and psychotherapy principles. Practicing from a trauma-informed lens, Caitlyn values her client’s agency and believes in working together to cultivate a counseling experience that draws upon their already existing strengths and a blend of mind and body connection, breath work, gentle movement, and additional somatic techniques to meet their individual needs and goals.
Caitlyn graduated from the University at Albany SUNY where she played 5 years of Division 1 softball. She is passionate about youth and young adult athletes and bringing their bodies into mental health treatment through the integration of somatic and body-based therapy. Outside of working alongside athletes, she has experience and greatly enjoys working with people between the ages of 5-25. Her areas of focus are: anxiety, perfectionism, interpersonal conflicts, disordered eating, body image, and affirmative work supporting those with ADHD and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Caitlyn strives to help her clients increase their confidence, develop tools that address their unique stressors in life, and increase their sense of empowerment.
