Licensed Social Worker, IFS Provider, Psychodynamic and Attachment-based Therapy
Marlyn seeks to create a compassionate, supportive, and safe space for collaborative growth for her clients. She sees her role as a therapist as guiding support for her clients and strives to create a nonjudgmental, safe space to explore their thoughts, feelings, relationships, and goals. She is a relational therapist and empowers her clients to discover the most authentic version of themselves while utilizing tools to help them get through challenges in their daily lives in ways that honor their values and identity. She practices through a collaborative, flexible, and trauma-informed lens while incorporating psychodynamics, neuroscience, attachment theory, mindfulness, IFS, and other theories in order to tailor the treatment into a style that fits her clients’ unique individual strengths and needs.
Marlyn’s experience with trauma work has directed her integrative and holistic style of therapy. She works closely with adults on issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, identity issues, sex and relationships, grief and loss, emotional regulation, inner child work, and more.
She also has extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ community members and providing support for historically underserved populations. Drawing from a strong foundation in social work, she is dedicated to creating a safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their experiences, social locations, and intersectional backgrounds while considering the broader context of social injustice.
