Bottom Up Healing With Yoga Therapy and Psychodrama

Bottom Up Healing With Yoga Therapy and Psychodrama

Saturday, September 30 · 9am – 12pm EDT

The Healing Collective

967 Swedesford Road #Suite 100-A Exton, PA 19341

Yoga therapy and psychodrama are two types of somatic therapy which helps heal the whole person from a nervous system, bottom up, and body based perspective. Bottom up healing is embodied, addressing concerns at the mind, body, and spirit levels. This highly experiential workshop will include gentle chair yoga, meditation, and psychodrama to increase connection to self and others, reduce stress, and prevent and/or aid in recovery from burnout.

Please note the yoga will be very gentle and participants are encouraged to make choices that work for their bodies on the day of the event. No yoga or psychodrama experience is necessary and comfortable clothing is encouraged.

Clinical Objectives

By attending and participating in the entire training participants will be able to:

-Define the 5 koshas of yoga (physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual health).

-Create and discuss one shift that can aid in achieving balance

-Demonstrate 2 ways that building body awareness can reduce stress and increase present moment awareness

-Experience and describe how psychodrama can be combined with yoga to improve body/mind/spirit connection

**While this event is geared towards therapists and helping professionals, all interested in learning about and experiencing yoga therapy and psychodrama are welcome.
