Kosha Care for Clinicians: A Yoga Therapy Support Circle

Kosha Care for Clinicians: A Yoga Therapy Support Circle

DESCRIPTION:

This 2-hour gathering offers space for therapists and healers to reconnect with their own bodies, breath, and inner wisdom through the lens of yoga therapy. Led by a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), Erika Tenenbaum, this support-based workshop blends gentle movement, breathwork, guided meditation, and reflective conversation rooted in the ancient framework of the koshas—the five layers of our being.

We’ll explore how our body, energy, and emotions shift daily in response to our work and life, and how reconnecting with these outer layers can help us access deeper steadiness, clarity, and joy. Practices will be framed through the lens of the gunas—sattva (balance), rajas (activation), and tamas (grounding)—as a way to understand our nervous system and tailor self-care to what we most need in the moment.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Asana for up-regulating when feeling stuck or depleted
  • Breath awareness for settling and restoring energetic balance
  • Meditation and rest to support emotional regulation and mental clarity
  • Discussion and reflection in community with other therapists

This is not a CE event—just a space to land, restore, and care for yourself alongside others who hold space for so many. No yoga experience required. Come as you are.

Yoga Therapist/ Group Facilitator

Erika Tenenbaum, C-IAYT

With over 25 years of experience as a yoga teacher, 15 years as a yoga therapist, and 10 years as a yoga therapy educator, Erika brings deep wisdom, compassion, and curiosity to her work. She specializes in the intersection of somatics and mental health, with a passion for helping clients reconnect the often-fractured conversation between brain, mind, and body.

Erika’s approach is grounded in the belief that true healing begins by restoring this inner relationship. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, or a sense of disconnection, she supports them in building embodied awareness—where insight, regulation, and self-trust can begin to take root. Through consistent, accessible practices and gentle accountability, Erika guides clients toward integration and wholeness—not perfection.
